Clique AI Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 20 October 2026
1. About these Terms
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and Clique AI Limited. They govern your use of the Clique mobile application, the website at www.cliquehub.digital, Cleo (our AI concierge), and any related features, content or services (together, the "Services").
By creating an account, downloading the app or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Who we are. Clique AI Limited ("Clique", "we", "us", "our") is a company registered in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), United Arab Emirates, and registered office at Innovation One, DIFC, Dubai, UAE.
What Clique is. Clique helps adults find genuine, interest-based connection. We match people into Interest Circles, help them meet at events and through Speed Meeting, and offer an AI concierge to guide them. Clique is a platform for community and friendship. It is not a dating service, and it must not be used as one.
Other agreements. Some features may have extra terms shown to you when you use them (for example, an event's own rules or a partner's code of conduct). Those terms form part of these Terms. Organisations that license Clique OS sign a separate commercial agreement with us, which governs their use of Clique OS as a business.
2. Eligibility
You may use the Services only if all of the following are true:
You are at least 18 years old. Clique is strictly for adults. We do not permit anyone under 18 to create an account or use the Services, and we will close any account we believe belongs to a minor.
You are legally able to enter into a binding contract under the laws that apply to you.
You have not previously been banned from Clique, and you are not prohibited from using the Services under any applicable law or sanctions regime.
You have not been convicted of, or are not subject to any court order relating to, a violent or sexual offence, or any offence involving harm to others.
3. Your account and verification
One person, one account. You may hold only one personal account. It is for your own use and you must not share it, sell it or let anyone else access it.
Accurate information. You agree to give accurate, current and complete information, and to keep it up to date. You must not impersonate anyone or create a profile for someone else.
Identity verification. To protect our community, we verify users' identities. In the UAE this is done through UAE PASS. In other markets we may use a trusted identity verification provider or a one-time passcode (OTP) to your phone number. Some features, including women-only circles, require verification and are only available to users whose verified profile meets that circle's criteria. Verification reduces risk but does not guarantee that every user is who they claim to be, or that they are safe to meet.
Keeping your account secure. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your login and devices secure. Tell us immediately at support@cliquehub.digital if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
Communications. By creating an account, you agree that we may send you service messages (for example, verification codes, safety notices and changes to these Terms) by in-app notification, email or SMS. You can control marketing messages in your settings.
4. The Services
Interest Circles. We use your stated interests, preferences and activity to suggest and place you in Interest Circles with other members. Circle membership is a suggestion, not a promise that you will get along with anyone or that a circle will remain active.
Speed Meeting. Speed Meeting lets you meet several members in short, structured sessions, in person or virtually. Taking part is voluntary and you can leave a session at any time.
Events. Events listed in the app may be run by Clique or by third parties such as venues, event organisers, universities or employers ("Organisers"). Where an Organiser runs an event, the Organiser is responsible for it, including the venue, safety arrangements, ticketing and refunds, unless we clearly say otherwise.
Partner spaces (Clique OS). Some communities on Clique are operated by organisations that license our white-label platform, Clique OS (for example, a property community, a university or an event). These spaces may carry the partner's branding and their own rules. The partner may be able to see information you share in their space, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to the Services. We are constantly improving Clique. We may add, change, suspend or remove features at any time. Where a change materially reduces something you have paid for, we will give you reasonable notice and, where appropriate, a fair remedy.
5. Cleo and AI features
Cleo is Clique's AI concierge. Cleo helps you onboard, suggests circles, people and events, and answers questions about the app. Our matching features also use automated systems.
By using Cleo and our AI features, you understand and agree that:
Cleo is an AI, not a person. Its responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Do not rely on Cleo for medical, legal, financial, safety or other professional advice.
Suggestions are suggestions. Matches and recommendations are based on the information available to us. They are not an endorsement of any person, and they do not mean anyone has been screened as safe.
No harmful use. You must not use Cleo to generate unlawful, abusive, sexual or deceptive content, to extract information about other users, or to try to bypass its safeguards.
Third-party AI providers. Cleo is powered in part by AI models from trusted third-party providers, who process your inputs under contract with us and are not permitted to use them to train their own general models. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
Human review. We do not use AI to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you without human involvement. Account bans and safety decisions are reviewed by a member of our team, and you can ask for a decision to be reconsidered (see section 9).
6. Community Standards
Clique works because members treat each other with respect. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You must not:
Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, intimidate or discriminate against anyone, including on the basis of nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability or age.
Post or send sexual, sexually suggestive, violent, hateful, graphic or otherwise obscene content.
Use Clique for dating, romantic solicitation or any sexual purpose, or pressure anyone to move a conversation off the platform.
Enter, or try to enter, a circle or event you are not eligible for, including women-only circles.
Impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your identity, age or affiliation.
Advertise, sell, recruit, solicit money, run pyramid schemes or send spam, unless we have expressly allowed it.
Share anyone else's personal information, photos or contact details without their consent.
Post content that infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights.
Post content that is unlawful in the UAE or where you are located, including content that offends public morals, religion or public order, or that is defamatory.
Scrape, copy, reverse engineer, overload or interfere with the Services, or use bots or automated means to access them.
Introduce viruses or malicious code, or try to access accounts, systems or data you are not authorised to access.
Encourage or help anyone else to do any of the above.
7. Your safety
Your safety matters to us, but we cannot control how other members behave. Please follow these precautions:
Meet new people for the first time in public places, and tell a friend where you are going.
Keep conversations inside the app until you feel comfortable, and never send money to someone you have met on Clique.
Leave any situation that feels unsafe, and report it to us.
If you or anyone else is in immediate danger, contact the local emergency services first (in the UAE, call 999). Clique does not run criminal background checks on members unless we expressly say so for a specific feature.
8. Your content
You own your content. "User Content" means anything you post, upload or send through the Services, such as your profile, photos, messages and posts. You keep ownership of your User Content.
Licence to us. You grant Clique a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt (for example, resize a photo) and distribute your User Content, solely to operate, improve, promote and protect the Services. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where the content has been shared with others who have not deleted it, or where we must keep it by law or for safety reasons.
Your promises. You confirm that you have the rights needed to post your User Content and that it complies with these Terms.
Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely without any obligation to you.
9. Reporting, moderation and enforcement
Report and block. You can report a member, message, post, circle or event, and you can block any member, directly in the app. We review reports promptly and aim to act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours.
Moderation. We use a combination of automated tools and human review to detect content and behaviour that breaks these Terms. We are not obliged to monitor all content, but we may review, remove or restrict any content at our discretion.
Enforcement. If we believe you have broken these Terms or put others at risk, we may issue a warning, remove content, limit features, suspend or permanently ban your account, and, where appropriate, report the matter to the authorities.
Appeals. If you think we got it wrong, write to appeals@cliquehub.digital within 30 days. A member of our team will review the decision.
10. Clique Coins
What they are. Clique Coins are a virtual in-app reward and currency. You earn them through activity on Clique (for example, attending events or completing your profile). Clique Coins cannot be bought with money. You can use them only within the Services, for the purposes we describe in the app.
What they are not. Clique Coins are not money, e-money, a stored-value product, a security, a crypto-asset or any other financial product. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money or redeemed for cash, and cannot be transferred, sold or gifted to anyone outside the features we provide. You receive a limited, revocable licence to use them; you do not own them.
Changes and expiry. We may change how Coins are earned, priced or used, and may set expiry periods, which we will show in the app. Unused Coins are lost if your account is closed, except where the law requires otherwise.
Misuse. We may remove Coins obtained through fraud, error, exploits or breach of these Terms.
11. Purchases and subscriptions
In-app purchases. Purchases made in the iOS or Android app are processed by Apple or Google, and are subject to their payment terms and refund policies. We do not receive or store your card details. To request a refund for an in-app purchase, contact Apple or Google directly.
Subscriptions. If we offer a paid subscription, it renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Prices and what is included are shown before you buy. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Event tickets. Where you buy a ticket for an event run by an Organiser, the Organiser's refund and cancellation terms apply unless we tell you otherwise.
Taxes. Prices include any applicable VAT unless stated otherwise.
12. Third parties
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party services, including UAE PASS, identity verification providers, mapping, payments and Organisers' platforms. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Your interactions with other members and Organisers, online or in person, are solely between you and them. We may, but are not obliged to, help resolve disputes between members.
13. Intellectual property
The Services, including the Clique and Cleo names and logos, the app, website, software, design, Interest Circle taxonomy, text and graphics (excluding User Content), are owned by or licensed to Clique AI Limited and protected by intellectual property laws.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app and the Services for your own non-commercial purposes, in line with these Terms. You must not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, decompile or create derivative works from any part of the Services, or use our brand, without our written permission.
If you believe content on Clique infringes your intellectual property, email legal@cliquehub.digital with details of the work, the content concerned and your contact information.
14. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that any match, circle or event will meet your expectations, or that information provided by other members, Organisers or Cleo is accurate.
We are not responsible for the conduct, online or offline, of any member or Organiser. You are solely responsible for your interactions with others.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any right or guarantee that cannot lawfully be excluded under the laws that apply to you.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Clique and its directors, employees, partners and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising from or relating to the Services.
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your interactions with other members or Organisers, or from attending any event.
Our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Services is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, and (b) AED 500.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Clique and its directors and employees against any claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your User Content, or your conduct towards other members or Organisers.
17. Ending your use of Clique
Deleting your account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings > Account > Delete account in the app, or by emailing privacy@cliquehub.digital. Deletion removes your profile from the Services. Some information may be kept for a limited period as described in our Privacy Policy, for example to prevent banned users from re-registering or to meet legal obligations. Remember to cancel any subscription separately through Apple or Google.
Suspension or termination by us. We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we reasonably believe your use creates risk for other members, us or third parties. We may also discontinue the Services entirely, giving reasonable notice where we can.
What survives. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Clique Coins, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law) will continue to apply.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect, unless the change is needed sooner for legal or safety reasons. If you keep using the Services after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you should delete your account.
19. Governing law and disputes
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising from or connected with them or the Services, are governed by the laws of the Dubai International Financial Centre.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at legal@cliquehub.digital so we can try to resolve the matter informally within 30 days. If it is not resolved, the Courts of the Dubai International Financial Centre will have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek urgent injunctive relief in any competent court.
If you are a consumer, nothing in this section removes any mandatory protection or right to bring proceedings that you have under the laws of the country where you live.
20. App store terms
This section applies if you download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
These Terms are between you and Clique only, not Apple or Google. Clique, not Apple or Google, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
Your licence to use the app is limited to use on Apple-branded or Android devices that you own or control, as permitted by the relevant store's usage rules.
Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
Clique, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
Clique, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.
You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you.
21. General
Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and any feature-specific terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services.
Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
No waiver. If we do not enforce a right, that does not waive it.
Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours, for example as part of a merger or sale, and will notify you if this affects you.
Language. If these Terms are translated, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by law.
Force majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
